Today you will explore the Tsukuba Space Center. There will be a guided tour upon arrival with the remainder of the time to enjoy on your own.

Thursday, November 5, 2015 • Tokyo – Hakone
Depart for the Onsen Hot Springs region of Japan. The Owkudani Valley reveals the remains of the exploded volcanic mouth of the Hakone volcano, Kamiyama. Steam can still be seen spouting activity today. View the mighty Mount Fuji and enjoy a hot steam soak in the springs. Dinner is included tonight.
Friday, November 6, 2015 • Hakone – Hiroshima
Transfer to the Odawara Station to experience a Japanese treasure, the Bullet train.
At Hiroshima you will be met at the station and taken to the Hiroshima Peace Museum for a visit of the Museum. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum provides opportunities for the visitors to raise peace consciousness. After checking in at your hotel for two nights, dinner will be included.
Saturday, November 7, 2015 • Mijajima
After breakfast a visit to the picturesque Itukushima Shrine on the island of Mijajima. Considered a national treasure as one of the best three views in Japan, Mount Misen, can be seen in the distance. The Itukushima Shrine was worshiped by the local people as early as the 6th century. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Sunday, November 8, 2015 • Hiroshima – Kagoshima
After breakfast your guide will lead you to the Shinkansen ‘Mizuho’ bullet train for the ride to Kagoshima. Upon arrival you will be met and taken on a tour of Kyushu’s southernmost city. The Sakurajima, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and smokes with minor eruptions daily. A ferry ride will take you to the Mount Sakurajima Visitor Center and the Arimura Lava Observatory.

A full day tour with lunch today includes a Sweet Potato Shochu Tasting and a visit to the 18th century Kagoshima Castle and Senganen Garden created in 1658 by Shimazu Mitushisa.
Tuesday, November 10, 2015 • Kagoshima – Kumamoto – Takachiho
Today you will take the Shinkansen “Sakura” to Kumamoto where the historic Kumamoto Castle stands with against a backdrop of Mount Aso.
After lunch continue by motor coach to Takachiho for overnight.
Wednesday, November 11, 2015 • Takachiho – Fukuoka
After breakfast experience the incredibly beautiful V-shaped Takachiho Gorge. This narrow chasm along the Gokase River with sheer cliffs lining the gorge made of slow forming volcanic basalt columns. An impressive close of the your journey to Japan. Motorcoach to Takachiho – Kumamoto for overnight and board the train for Fukuoka.
