After breakfast drive to the eclipse site near La Serena, Chile, which promises 2 minutes and 15 seconds of totality and a spectacular eclipse.

After breakfast a visit Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, a complex of astronomical telescopes and instruments is planned. The principal telescopes are the 4-m Victor M. Blanco Telescope and the 4.1 m SOAR telescope.
