Wednesday, March 10 – Fairbanks

Meet your group in Fairbanks at Pike’s Waterfront hotel. 1st lecture from Dennis Mammana and hosted dinner! Visit World Ice Art Championships, drive to the Pipeline to look for the lights and then return to our hotel.

Thursday, March 11th – Fairbanks

After breakfast, we will visit the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska, have lunch at the Cookie Jar, and then visit Poker Flat Research Range for a private tour. We will venture to Silver Gulch Brewery & Restaurant for our group dinner and enjoy the second night of auroras!

Friday, March 12th – Fairbanks to Chena

After Breakfast, check out of our hotel and drive to the Great American Bowl Company, shop at the Fred Meyer store for any last-minute supplies, and then drive to the Alaska Pipeline for a group photo. Drive to Chena Hot Springs Resort, looking for Moose along the way! We’ll check in at the Chena Hot Springs Lodge and relax. Dinner & Lecture #2 with Dennis, followed by more Aurora Hunting tonight!

Saturday, March 13th – Chena Hot Springs Resort

Sleep late and then meet in the Activities Room for their Geothermal tour and Aurora Ice Museum tour. An optional tour is available for a late-night Snow Cat ride to the top of Charlie Dome Mountain for the best Aurora viewing you will ever experience!

Sunday, March 14th – Chena Hot Springs Resort

Sleep late and then meet for lunch in the Arctic Room and enjoy our 3rd and final lecture with Dennis! The rest of your day is free to relax, enjoy a dip in the Hot Springs, take a nap, or go for a hike, because we will have more lights to find tonight!

Monday, March 15th – Chena Hot Springs Resort

Sleep late today and enjoy our last day at the Resort with some optional excursions around the area, like Dog Sledding, Dog Kennel tour, and ride their snow machines!

Tuesday, March 16th – Chena to Fairbanks

We will check out and enjoy our scenic ride back to Fairbanks, looking for wildlife along the way. Tour the Geographical Institute, drive around Fairbanks, and return to our hotel to check in. Tonight will be our farewell dinner at the Pump House

Wednesday, March 17th – Fairbanks to Home

After our hot breakfast, we will be transferred to Fairbanks International Airport for our flight back to Seattle, then home.
